Listening to Rosemary Olender was engaging, relevant and heartwarming! Thank you for having her on your podcast!! I understand the power of having at least one significant adult in your life who believes in you. For me it was my dear grandma (my dad’s mom) who for the first six years of my life raised me and absolutely delighted in me. She always told me how smart I was, played with me, took me to church and taught me so many wonderful life’s lessons. She also told me I could do anything I wanted in life if I studied hard and went towards the light!! Then there was my college professor (Danny Dunn) who told me told me at 17, “Valerie, hitch your wagon to a star and never let go.” 50+ years later I’m still hitching my wagon to a star. And Grandma Hall I am still going towards the light and surrounding myself with good, nurturing individuals who are like-minded. Thank you, Michael, for having Rosemary Olender on your show. Her book “Coffee and Wisdom” along with her thought-provoking questions at the end, is a book I keep rereading and letting it nurture me. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants to have a positive impact on another’s life, including their own!! Valerie Culver

Enjoyied listening to Rosemary Olender! I too was an educator for 30 years and couldn’t agree more about core values that are so important to a child’s development into a well rounded, caring member of society! Parents are the first teachers in the child’s early years. This book is a valuable tool to guide parents as they interact with their children. I highly recommend it!
